Mount Aigoual



Mount Aigoual is a peak located in the south of the Massif Central, on the border between the counties of Gard and Lozère. It culminates at an altitude of 1,565 metres. On a clear day, the exceptional panorama offers a view stretching from the Alps to the Pyrenees, from the Puy de Sancy to the Mediterranean.

The waterfalls of the Vis



An important Cévennes affluent of the Hérault on the right bank, the Vis flows through the Gard and Hérault counties in the Occitanie region. 57.8 km1 long, it originates in the Cévennes National Park, near the Col de l'Homme-Mort. 


Along the way, numerous waterfalls, some of which are spectacular, await the walker or holidaymaker, such as the Navacelles, Saint-Laurent-le-Minier or Cazilhac waterfalls.


They are located 15 minutes from the Château.

Cirque de Navacelles



The circus of Navacelles is a natural circus, formed by a meander cut by the river Vis into impressive gorges between the causse du Larzac in the south (Saint-Maurice-Navacelles, Hérault) and the causse de Blandas in the north (Blandas, Gard).

The Gard Bridge



The Pont du Gard is located in the heart of a region with a rich historical heritage near Nîmes, Uzès and Avignon.


The Pont du Gard is the most visited ancient monument in France, an aqueduct declared by UNESCO, and it remains one of the great masterpieces of mankind. A marvel of antiquity, technical feat, it is a magical site, which has become wild again since its redevelopment.

The Anduze Bamboo Grove



Classified among the most beautiful gardens in France, the Bambouseraie en Cévennes offers you a moment of complicity with nature. This unique and singular botanical garden unveils more than 1000 varieties of bamboos, rare flowers, trees and remarkable plants opening a magical and totally unexpected parenthesis in the Cévennes Gardoises.

Canoe-Kayak



The region abounds in rivers where canoeing and kayaking are practised. Visit the Tarn gorges, go down the Gardon, pass under the Pont du Gard, walk along the Cèze (a tributary of the Rhône)... Many excursions in the Gard and the Cévènnes, close to the Château.
